Thanks to all who came out to see the concerts on the east coast last week, especially to the dedicated few who, sharp pencil in hand, participated fully in my Brooklyn IBEAM Website Launchie Solo Piano Multi-Media Mega-Event. My original word puzzles were Puzzled, prizes were Awarded (ball of twine, asymmetrical potato, etc), jazz standards were Obfuscated, it was a great time for all. Or for me anyway. So, thanks.
Also thanks to Miles Brown, James Donahue, Mike Billingsley, Tony Falco, Ben Monder, Josh Roseman, and all those who made the Kneebody shows happen. Because of you, there was incredibly sweaty New Jersey K-Mart football, and beautiful fall foliage, and quarter notes, and eighth notes. I now know slightly more than I did before. So, thanks.
The next primary strategical target is November 9 in Burbank California. Tri-Annual West Coast Solo Piano Multi-Media Mega-Event 2008. Details forthcoming. Reservations suggested. Audio Recorded.
My next musical offering for you is another from the unreleased solo recordings of yesteryear. It is a long-winded, slow-developing, ambient-tastic 13 minute version of the jazz standard My One And Only Love, performed on a Casio CZ-100 synthesizer, Garageband bass, Fender Rhodes, and Bosendorfer Grand Piano, live at the Roy O. Disney Concert Hall at CalArts in Valencia, California, on October 30, 2006. Listen to it when you have lots of time, or no time at all. Love.
